1940s Pretty Wartime Tea Frock Sewing Pattern

Description

The dress features a one-piece back bodice with two little pleats on either side of the waistband. The front
bodice is two sections, lightly gathered beneath the breast and joined to the curved skirt. The sash ties
are sewn into the side seams at the waist. The sleeves can be short or long, and they are inserted into the
armholes with four pleats at the top. The dress has a side placket opening on the left underarm seam that
is closed with hooks, eyes, and press studs.

To fit: Bust 36 ins. – Waist 29 – Hip 39

As usual with Forties wartime patterns there are no fabric suggestions. Because of rationing it was pretty
much what you could get or reuse. Try Cotton prints, Rayon, Viscose, Linen, Chambray these would work well
with the design.
