Description

A clever little jumper from the late 1930s. It’s worked in a fancy striped pattern in three
colours and a fancy raised leaf like pattern worked over 16 rows for each colour. It has a
zip fastening at the back neck opening to make it easier to put on and take off.

Size to fit: 34-36 inch bust

The original wool used was Paton’s Super or Scotch Fingering 4 ply. 5 ozs. (142g) black,
4 ozs. (114g) green, 3 ozs. (86g) red. A pair each No. 9 (3.75mm), No. 10 (3.25mm) and
No. 11 (3mm) needles. A 6 inch zip.

TENSION: 8 sts. to an inch worked on No. 10 needles on each stripe before pressing.
