Description
The hat is worked in ridged double crochet throughout, every stitch being worked into the
back loop of the stitch on previous round. One repetition of the colour scheme occupies
12 rounds, the first 9 of which are in the main colour, the 10th is mid colour the 11th
light colour. These 12 rounds are repeated throughout the hat.
The original yarn used was Arderns Star Silko No. 3 (which is about a 4 ply) 2 large
balls in main colour, 2 balls mid colour and 1 ball light colour.
A Steel crochet hook No. 1 (2.75mm)
1-3/4 yards of millinery wire and 1-1/2 yards of 1 inch ribbon.
TENSION: 9 sts. to the inch in width when the hat will measure 21 inches round lower
