Description

The costume is worked throughout in stocking stitch. The main colour is purple, with a light green hem and
border running up the sides, forming a chevron above the waist, linked up by a mauve chevron above. All
the angles in the design are the same and are formed by moving the colours one stitch every row, either
to the right or left, according to the design.

The original yarn used was Paton’s & Baldwins Crocus Non-shrink wool, 6 ozs (171g) in Purple, 2 ozs. (57g)
in light Jade Green, 2ozs. (57g) in Mauve. A pair of No. 12 (2.75mm) needles. A No. 13 (2.25mm) Crochet
hook.

TENSION: 8.5 stitches and 11 rows to one inch.

The costume will fit a 35-37 inch Bust
