1930s Knitting Pattern for a One-Piece Bathing suit Bust 33-35

£3.99£5.99

Description

One-Piece Bathing Suit for a low and comfy crossed-strap back. The suit is designed for maximum
sun, with a low V-back with its crossed straps and unusual front neckline. It’s mainly worked
in stocking stitch with stripes at the waistline and contrasting ribbed straps.

The original yarn used was 5 ozs. (142g) Golden Eagle Seawul in blue, 2ozs. (57g) in wine and
1 oz. (29g) in white. I can’t find any reference to the Seawul yarn, so going on tension alone
my best guess would be a 4 ply. But saying this always knit a tension square just to make sure
before buying wool or starting the knitting.
A pair of No. 11 (3mm) needles and a No. 13 (2.25mm) crochet hook

TENSION: 7-1/2 stitches and 10 rows to one inch.

The costume will fit a 33-35 inch Bust

Please note you are buying a copy of the pattern, not the original or the finished garment
