1930s Knitting Pattern for a Slim Ribbed Swimsuit Bust 32-34

£2.99£4.99

Description

The costume is worked in ribbing of k. 4, purl 1, with moss-stitch borders of squares of harmonising colours
and adjustable shoulder straps that pass through a ring at the back tying round the waist. It’s really easy
to make as the shaping at the waist is achieved by using smaller needles. It has a very low sun-bather back.

The original yarn used was Carter and Parker’s Wendy Beach Wool, 6 ozs (171g) amber and
2 ozs (57g) of white and 1 oz. of azure blue. 1 pair each No. 11 (3mm) and No. 13
(2.25mm). 1 two-inch ring.

TENSION: Ribbing on No. 11 needles is 8 stitches and 10 rows to one inch.

The costume will fit a 32-34 inch Bust
