Description

A lovely example of a jumper from the 1930s. It’s worked in a tweed yarn with V-lace panels worked back and front.
The sleeves have rib to the elbow and a plain top. The V-neck is a nice casual touch for everyday wear.

The original materials used were: 6 ozs. (171g) Paton’s “Lorna” Wool (shade 755), and 1 oz. (29g) Beehive (or
Paton’s Super) Scotch Fingering 3-ply in white. Two No. 6 (5mm) and two No. 10 (3.25mm) knitting needles.

Measurements: Length from top of shoulder, 19 inches. Width all round at underarm, 38 inches. Length of sleeve
from underarm, 18 inches.

Tension: 5-1/2 stitches to the inch measured over the plain smooth fabric.
