1930’s Skirt, Blouse, Belt and Scarf Knitting Pattern Bust 34-35

£3.99£6.99

Description

Fagot stripes up and down and across are used in this 2-piece 5 ply sport weight dress. Small faux
pockets give interest at the yoke and a soft scarf is fastened at the front with a buttoned tab.
Also has a matching belt

Both the Blouse and Skirt are worked on a circular needle. But I would also have pair of No. 4mm
for the belt pockets etc.

This one is not for the novice or inexperienced knitter as knitting in the round takes practice
and of course an abundance of patience!

The original yarn used was Fleishers ‘Cassimere’ 5 ply sport yarn. 4 balls for the Blouse and
6 for the Skirt. A 4mm circular needle. A crochet hook for finishing. There is no mention of
ball weight and I can’t find any reference at the, moment so it’s a guess at best, they are
probably 2 oz balls like a lot of the Fleishers yarns of the 1930’s

TENSION: 6 sts. = 1 inch and 9 rows to 1 inch
