Description
The enchanting jumper shows quite a new idea in chic trimmings from 1938. Cleverly worked in stocking
stitch with now a plain, now a purl side to the front, makes a unique edge, resembling a pleated frill.
It’s easy to knit, although there is quite a lot of work in the main part of the jumper, which is in
k.1, p.1 rib. The edges are finished with d.c, so some crochet knowledge is needed.
Measurements: To fit 31-33 inch bust; length from top of shoulder, 17 inches; sleeve seam including
frill 8 inches.
Original materials were: Patons ‘Super crepe which was a 3 ply. A pair of No. 12 (2.75mm) needles.
A No. 14 (2.0mm) crochet hook, 8 small buttons.
TENSION: 11 sts. to an inch, measured over the ribbing (un-stretched)
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart to help
Please note you are buying a copy of the pattern, not the original or the finished garment
